Collard Maxwell Architects and its sub-consultancy team have a strong track record of providing architectural and project management services on a range of recent public sector projects. Our firm has designed and delivered countless new build and upgrade projects for Government since 1947. Our portfolio of built and under construction projects demonstrates our ability to collaborate on complex building typologies and deliver state-of-the-art facilities for the councils.
Masterplan Deniliquin
New Retirement Village and Community Hub in Deniliquin for Edward River Council. A mix of freestanding 2 and 3 bedroom houses is proposed for the site in an urban landscape setting. A community hub, plaza and park will form part of the new facilities for the residents and the general public.
We worked together with Council’s General Manager and Councillors and prepared a masterplan, concept design, federal government grant application and community engagement. Our engagement also included engaging and liaising with consultants to complete a QS estimate and a Market Report to confirm the feasibility of the project.
Menai Indoor Sports Centre
A community building primarily to be used for indoor sport with the occasional use as a community centre for exhibitions and group meetings. The building is fully accessible and provides sporting facilities for people with disabilities. Concept design was by Sutherland Council. Collard Architects completed design development and documentation.
Trinity Preparatory School Gymnasium & Music School
The requirement for a new music school gymnasium on a site of heritage listed buildings and limited playground space was solved with a new gymnasium and music school being built below the playground with the building lowered to be sympathetic to the scale of the surrounding buildings. Gymnasium included basketball court, cricket practice nets, cardio room, changing facilities and spectator seating.
